Welcome

Your first few days at university can be quite confusing and it may take time for you to settle into life as a student. At the University of Liverpool, we're very keen to ease your settling in period as much as possible and Welcome Week has been organised to facilitate our efforts to do so.

On behalf of the Department of Civil Engineering and industrial Design I am delighted to welcome you as a new student. The School is a community of scholars working across more than a dozen subject areas, and we are sure you will benefit from the breadth and vitality that is possible in a School of this size, with world-class teaching and in-depth specialist expertise available to you.

We will work hard during Welcome Week and in the first semester to make your transition to postgraduate study as smooth as possible.

Your first few days at University can be quite confusing and it may take time for you to settle into your new surroundings and life as a student. It may also be your first time away from home.

At the Student Service Centre the specialist teams are available to help with any practical, emotional or general issues. They can also direct you to the most appropriate services across the University.

The Liverpool Guild of Students (Student Societies)

Liverpool Guild of Students (LGoS) is the Students' Union for the University of Liverpool.
