Emily Mann

Biography: I studied Mechatronics and Robotic Systems from the University of Liverpool, obtaining my Batchelors degree in 2020. I then decided to diversify my skills set by studying Advanced Manufacturing Systems and Technology MSc, which began in the autumn of 2020.

Abstract: Smart packaging (design-led, active and intelligent) is a holistic solution to transform the way we deliver, sell, and use products. Despite its challenges there is an indication that in-home healthcare for aging societies enabled by smart packaging will address range of issues, from trivial ones (patient compliance) to mitigating the negative results of the general trends (high indices of diabetes and obesity, increased antibiotic resistance), helping to bridge the gap between healthcare professionals and patients.
