Spatial Analysis: Mapping Techniques in Social Research – SOCI534

This module is designed to introduce students to the theory and practice of spatial analysis for social research purposes.

Students are introduced to ways in which mapping can be used to critically analyse, and visualise, power relations within society.

The module seeks to introduce students to basic mapping techniques, engage with the advantages and limitations of using such an approach, and provide them with the opportunity to put these in to practice.
