About

Roberto Ferrero received his BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 2008, 2009 and 2013, respectively. He joined the Department of Electrical Engineering & Electronics at the University of Liverpool as a Lecturer in 2015, and he has been a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the same Department since 2019. Before joining the University of Liverpool, he worked as a post-doctoral research assistant at the University of Pisa, Italy, and Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
His research activity focuses on electrical measurements, including sensors, signal processing and uncertainty analysis, particularly applied to power systems, electrochemical devices (batteries) and wearable sensors for healthcare applications.
He is a Senior Member of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, and the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, the leading international journal in the area of Instrumentation and Measurement.
