Signal Processing
- About: Welcome to the homepage of the Signal Processing group. We are part of the University of Liverpool’s Electrical Engineering and Electronics department and comprise 7 academic staff together with their associated teams of researchers and graduate (ie PhD) students. The group has particular strengths in Bayesian computational methodology, autonomy, decision support, data fusion, tracking, image processing, radar processing, acoustic analysis, text analytics, machine learning, behavioural analytics, simulation and energy-efficient hardware implementation. As a result, there are strong links between the group and wider initiatives within the university focused on https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/risk-and-uncertainty/, https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/autonomous-systems/ and Big Data, with members of the group playing key leadership roles in these wider initiatives. Applications of current interest encompass a vast array of domains and include, for example: aerospace; bioinformatics; cyber security; e-health; food production; insurance; law enforcement; pharmaceutical; radar processing; surveillance of space; transport.
