Biography

Francesca completed her undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at Sapienza University of Rome in 2017. In 2019, she obtained her master's degree in Geneticcs and Molecular Biology. The objective of her work was to understand the role of a Manganese-dependant catalase in oxidative stress response in Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an opportunistic pathogen which causes severe lung infections in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF).

Francesca joined the EATC4Children in 2020 as a PhD student and is currently working on systemic inflammation in CF.
