REVISED: An update on the University Zoom licence
15 May 2020
As mentioned a few weeks ago, Zoom is now available for all staff and students.
Zoom is an application which allows users to conduct video conferences and meetings online with multiple users. Under the University's licence, you can host meetings for up to 300 people, take advantage of cloud recording and use the breakout rooms.
If you haven't explored this platform yet, you can do so now - here are the login instructions: https://liverpool.service-now.com/sp?id=kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0011854
* Pre-existing account migration
Now that most teaching activities have been completed, pre-existing accounts can be absorbed by the University's master account.
If you are an administrator or account holder, please follow these steps at your earliest convenience:
1. Log in to http://zoom.liverpool.ac.uk
2. You will be presented with an invitation to join the University of Liverpool account
3. Select Join the Account
*Please note: If you are an administrator, the active users under your account will automatically be absorbed in the University's account when you complete these steps.
4. Administrators - please see our guidance on refund payments:
There's no need to worry - all existing activities and scheduled meetings will remain in place once the above steps have been completed.
This is your opportunity to migrate your account at a time that is convenient for you. In a few weeks, all Zoom accounts with University email addresses will automatically be absorbed into the University's account.
The University's Zoom licence does not include webinars. If you have a Zoom webinar licence registered to your University email address, please get in touch with the CSD Service Desk via https://servicedesk.liverpool.ac.uk to discuss your options.
* Please note an earlier version of this announcement contained an incorrect link which has now been rectified.
