This module provides you with the opportunity to pursue either: (a) a research project on an aspect of publishing practices and industry (historical and/or contemporary), or (b) a practical publishing project, including production and self-reflection. This module aims to develop your skills in independent, self-reflective learning and self-directed study with a supervisor to identify, autonomously plan and implement a dissertation-length project. You will also gain advanced skills and experience in selecting and using electronic and/or archival resources for planning and undertaking this research and/or for use in your extended writing project.
