Code: ULMS864

Credits: 20

Semester: Semester 2

This module explores the dynamic interplay between individuals, behaviour, and organisational structures, aiming to equip students with a thorough understanding of organisational and management theories and practices. Students will critically examine foundational theories and concepts in organisational behaviour, including motivation, leadership, ethics and organisational culture, and power and politics, assessing their strengths, limitations, and applicability in today’s complex work environments.

Throughout the module, students will engage in a critical analysis of real-world organisational and managerial challenges, applying theoretical frameworks to practical scenarios. By investigating key issues including organisational change, power dynamics, and group behaviour, students will develop the ability to critically dissect complex problems and consider multifaceted, practical, evidence-based solutions.
