This module offers an introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the context of their growing importance for understanding physical environment and ecological challenges. Guided and supported independent activities enable students to investigate an environmental or ecological problem of their choice, produce clear and professional maps, and draw meaningful conclusions from geospatial evidence.
