This module explores the challenges of living on a changing planet and the solutions to major environmental issues of our time. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, it bridges science and society to examine climate and environmental change and their social impacts, encouraging students to consider their role in creating sustainable futures. Through a varied programme of teaching and learning activities, students engage with contemporary environmental debates and develop skills in communicating global scale environmental challenges. Assessment supports the development of critical thinking and global citizenship, providing a foundation for further study across physical and human geography.
