Creating Inclusive Game Worlds

This module explores the principles and practices involved in designing inclusive and (representationally) diverse game worlds. Topics include (fixed) avatar design, character creation options, and localisation, as well as environmental, music, and dialogue design. Learning is supported by critical engagement with relevant texts, case-studies, and discussion. Assessment includes the production of a tangible asset reflecting diversity and inclusion principles.
