Semester: Semester 1

This module explores the principles and practices of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design for digital games. Students will examine the interplay between usability, aesthetics, and player engagement, learning how to craft intuitive interfaces and meaningful interactions. Key topics include user-centred design, accessibility, information architecture, and Heads-Up Displays (HUDs). The module combines theory with practical workshops, enabling students to develop skills in designing and evaluating game interfaces. By the end, participants will produce a polished UX/UI prototype and gain a deep understanding of creating compelling player experiences.
