Mrs Patricia Young, BA
Patricia Young became Head of Upton Hall School FCJ in September 1997. The school inspection judged the school to be outstanding in all areas in January 2009. Prior to this post, she was Deputy Head (Curriculum) at St Edward’s College, Sandfield Park, Liverpool, with a particular interest in raising pupil attainment. She qualified as a teacher in 1976 and taught English in a direct grant grammar school and then a comprehensive school in North Liverpool. Patricia is committed to young people being given every opportunity to thrive and make the most of their talents. In October 2013 she received a Yale Education Award. This award is sponsored by the Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions and recognises educators from around the world who inspire and support their students to perform at high levels to achieve excellence.
A graduate of the University of Liverpool, Patricia read English and Modern History and then took a PGCE qualification.
