Xiaofeng Wu

Xiaofeng fist joined the Cooper group in May 2008 as a Postdoc research associate, focusing on the synthesis of and characterization of porous cages. In 2011 he backed to the Xiao group as a research assistant for three and half years and returned to the Cooper group in June 2014, continuing the chemistry on porous cages and bio-derived porous polymers. He took the role of CSC Scholarship Coordinator from May 2018 to recruit CSC/MIF PhD students and guard their researches and daily life in the Cooper group as well as MIF.

Xiaofeng graduated from the East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) , Shanghai , China in 1995, and did his MSc study at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry in 1999. Prior to obtaining his PhD with Professor Xiao in 2007 at the University of Liverpool, UK, he took up a FujiOtsuka Research Fellowship in the University of Tokushima in Japan from 2002-2003. Since May 2007, he has been a research associate in catalysis and materials science in the University of Liverpool.

He has been worked in a teaching position and then Lecturer in ECUST from July 1995 to Jan 2004, engaging in the school management rule at the same time as well.

He has published more than 50 research papers in international journals, including Nature (1), Nature Chem.(2), Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.(4),  J. Am. Chem. Soc.(1),  Chem. Eur. J.(4) etc. His research interests include organic synthesis, catalysis, catalytic materials, green chemistry, and materials chemistry.
