HSK examination

This year, we will be offering seven dates for the paper based HSK and the HSKK Oral Chinese Proficiency Tests.

Once you have registered as a candidate, the timings for each level will be notified to you. The test duration will vary depending upon the level you will be taking (40 min for Level 1 up to 135 minutes for Level 6).

What are the costs

There will be a registration fee of £10 per candidate and the fees will depend upon the level you will be taking – see table below.

To ensure safe delivery of the certificate there will be an extra charge of £4.00 for secure postage.

How to register

Please download, complete and return the HSK Registration Form (link below), along with two passport-style photographs with your name written on reverse and a colour copy of your passport.

By post: complete the application form and send to Liverpool Confucius Institute, The University of Liverpool, 126 Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, L69 3GR, together with a cheque made payable to the 'University of Liverpool' (payment by credit/debit card cannot be made through the post).

In person:  at the CI Reception, 126 Mount Pleasant (Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm) to pay by credit or debit card.

Please note:

Applications received after the deadline will not be processed.

The Confucius Institute reserves the right to cancel or postpone the test date if the minimum number of applications have not been received.
