CEIDR Away Day, 18 November 2019

Attendees at the 2019 CEIDR Away Day

We held our first away day in November 2019, at Hope Street Hotel, Liverpool.

Attendees included around 30 representatives from the University of Liverpool, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, NHS trusts and Liverpool Health Partners. The agenda outlined the purpose and mission of CEIDR's recent expansion into an academic-led centre, as well as highlighting the upcoming application for Biomedical Research Centre funding.

Throughout the day, there was discussion around a number of the Centre's key focus areas, including ideas that would lead to a step change in improvement to tackle antimicrobial resistance. The group also put forward ideas of how members and partners will collaborate and overcome the geographical and logistical challenges that an international workforce presents.
