Learning and Teaching Conference 2022: Day One

Online Lightning Talk

10 minute virtual presentation with 5 minutes for questions synchronous online. Lightning talks is the name given to any form of fast paced presentation in which speakers cover their content in a very brief period of time, usually spending only a few seconds on each of their slides. Lightning talks are designed to be faster paced and more engaging than more traditional presentations.

Face to Face Workshop

45 minute participatory workshop face to face and on campus. A participatory interactive workshop involves you and other participants working actively towards a particular objective: to learn something that will be new for the participants. You will engage in discussion and in collaborative activities that enable you to explore a specific topic. Participating in such a workshop allows you to reflect on issues and on your own experiences. You analyse, share and enhance your knowledge.

45 minute face to face session on campus A debate is an organised discussion or contest of ideas in which the participants discuss a topic from two or more opposing sides. Each side can use points of reference, experiences and feedback to support their ideas while working towards a conclusion. At the end of the debate a consensus of opinion should be agreed.

Asynchronous Digital Demonstration

10 minutes pre-recorded to stay on the LT Conference 2022 MS Team. A digital demonstration video illustrates how you use a product or service by showing it in action. Demo videos are a compelling way to communicate quick tips and tricks to help others use tools and services.
