I Got Hired: Izzy

Izzy is now working as Communications and Government Affairs Associate- Graduate Scheme at GSK, applying the skills and confidence developed through their University of Liverpool experience.

Izzy Lines is Communications and Government Affairs graduate from the Class of 2025.  Their graduate journey highlights the value of persistence, curiosity and learning through real professional challenges.

What first caught your attention about this role, and what made you think, “This is for me”?

The role sounded exciting and linked to my passions and degree. I was also attracted to the role as it is working for a large global company in the capital, and I wanted a corporate role in London.

Which experience along your journey has had the biggest impact on who you are professionally today?

Doing a year in industry placement at GSK really helped.

What’s been the toughest part of your graduate journey?

Having confidence in myself in the role I’m in now.

If you could give future grads one piece of advice, what would it be?

Be resilient and have an open mind! Explore all of the options and types of roles that are available.
