An exclusive programme offering students and graduates with ASD fully funded internships

Careers and Employability have partnered with Ambitious About Autism and Santander Universities to deliver this new employability programme for students and graduates with ASD. University of Liverpool students and graduates with autism now have the opportunity to access fully funded internships, with tailored support and training.

What is Employ Autism? 

Employ Autism is a programme designed to create access to to paid internship opportunities with local employers in the Liverpool City Region. The programme is funded by Santander Universities.

Roles are open to candidates from November 2021 and available in various businesses across a many sectors.

What are the benefits?

  • Get paid up to £2500 for your internship, and develop new skills and experiences
  • Full support from employers and help them understand and support neurodiversity in the workforce.

Who can apply? 

All ASD students and graduates from the University of Liverpool. Graduates can apply for full time, 8-week internships. Students will be invited to apply for flexible internships that can be completed around their studies. All roles will be paid at a rate of £10 per hour, up to a maximum of £2,500 per internship.

 How do I register? 

Please email careers@liverpool.ac.uk by 29th October 2021 to express your interest. We will be in touch in November 2021 to support you through your application.

All interns will be appointed in December 2021 ready to start internships early in 2022.*

*Internship timescales will vary depending on employers’ requirements but will involve between 200 – 250 hours of work to take place between January and June 2022.
