Promote your opportunities

If you are recruiting students and graduates, we want to hear from you!

Our students and graduates search for jobs, placements, internships and graduate opportunities across a wide range of websites, platforms and employer channels.

Handshake is an external recruitment platform that we signpost students to as one of the places they can find opportunities specifically promoted to the University of Liverpool community.

To advertise an opportunity through Handshake, you will need an employer account and access to the University of Liverpool community within the platform.

If you are new to Handshake, you can create an employer account using the link below. If you already use Handshake to recruit at another university, you can use your existing account and request access to the University of Liverpool.

Please provide as much information as possible when creating your employer profile and job postings. This helps students and graduates understand your organisation and assess whether an opportunity is right for them.

Create a Handshake account and advertise your opportunity on Handshake

If you already have a Handshake account: Log in to Handshake and connect with the University of Liverpool.

You can also access Handshake's employer training and guidance through the platform.

Looking for a more targeted approach?

Posting an opportunity through Handshake is one way to make your opportunities visible to our students and graduates, but it is not the only way to engage with the University.

If you have a particular recruitment need, are looking to reach a specific student or graduate audience, or would like to explore other ways of promoting your opportunities, speak to our Employer Connections Team.

Depending on your requirements, we may be able to explore options such as:

  • Targeted promotion to relevant student or graduate audiences
  • Employer events and recruitment activities
  • Connections with relevant academic schools or curriculum activity
  • Promotion through appropriate student networks and communities
  • Opportunities to meet and engage with students directly

Our team can talk to you about your recruitment needs and advise on the most appropriate ways to engage with our students and graduates.

Contact us here.

Please note: Handshake is an external platform. For queries about using the platform, including account access, vacancy posting or technical support, please refer to Handshake's employer support resources. Our Employer Connections Team is here to support you with your wider engagement with the University and can advise on other ways to promote your opportunities and connect with our students and graduates.
