What is the Career Studio?
The Career Studio is a dedicated space focused on supporting you with your employability. It is designed to nudge you forward in your career thinking by encouraging you to take small steps to achieve great things.
We have three zones to help you ask the right questions at the right time - Explore, Connect & Apply. Together you will work with our highly trained student Career Coaches to co-explore your options, connect with the right organisations and be ready to succeed with any opportunity that comes your way.
All of our Career Coaches are fully trained by our in-house employaility experts, the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) and GradConsult, so you can be confident you'll get the advice you need to make the right decisions about your future.
The Career Studio is now hybrid so you can drop-in to talk to our Career Coaches on campus from Monday - Friday between 10am and 3pm, or virtually through a Handshake message or on Zoom. We aim to reply to all messages within 24 hours.
Remember to use your time wisely to Explore, Connect and Apply - we are here every step of the way!
If you have any problems, please contact us by email: email@example.com
Get into the zone
The Career Studio is split into three zones, offering you different types of activities and support.
Here you'll be encouraged to look critically at your skills and experience and how these relate to your career ambitions. You'll also be able to research different sectors and roles, find out more about studying and working abroad, and discover what employers are looking for in graduate recruits.
You can also keep up-to-date with all the latest internship, placement and graduate vacancies.
With its break-out space and seminar room, the Connect zone is where many of this year’s Career Connect events will take place. You can network with leading employers, professionals, and alumni and build up your professional social network and personal brand.
This zone is focused on helping you perform well during the recruitment process. It provides advice on CVs and applications, practising psychometric tests, face-to-face and video interviews, and what happens in assessment centre tests.
