The University of Liverpool has one of

        the largest biomedical communities

in the United Kingdom and is the only

        higher education institution with

        education and research spanning the

        biosciences, medicine, dentistry, health

        sciences, tropical medicine and

veterinary science. This gives rise to

a rich synergy of research effort into a

        range of healthcare-related issues.

The University, along with six NHS

partner Trusts in Liverpool, has recently

        formed Liverpool Health Partners, a

        developing Academic Health Science

        System, which provides enhanced

        clinical research and trials capability.

The University aims to be a benchmark

for the way in which a research-led

university can work with partners to

improve health and wellbeing in the

population it serves. This expertise is

available to industrial and public sector

        organisations to help them solve

        problems through the application of

        our range of research excellences.
