Dormer Roof Restoration – 19-23 Abercromby Square

The University of Liverpool, Facilities Residential and Commercial Services (FRCS) Project Team have been working with the Principal Designers, E3Cube, and Principal Contractors, BBR Roofing, on the repairs and restoration to a large section of the dormer roof structures at 19-23 Abercromby Square.

The scaffolding used to enable this work will be coming down at the end of September 2019, having been in place since December 2018. The contractors and designers have undertaken this major restoration to our Grade 2 listed building. To help show the extent and quality of the restoration we have included some pictures and a Roof restoration diagram of the work undertaken.

In addition to reinstating the external structures, the Project has also applied internal restoration to several rooms on the third floor, renovating and renewing the internal surfaces, lightings, flooring and furnishings to a high standard. Consequential works on lower floors were also undertaken as part of the work. Colleagues will now be able to return to the building and again take up residence in their offices on the third floor.
