The school has a number of bursaries that are available to current and prospective students.
Stephen Lawrence Architecture Bursary
The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust (the Trust) offer bursaries to residents or students who will be studying Part 1 BA and Part 2 (Honours) Architecture full time at an institution with courses validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
We have an entry scholarship, for applicants who live within the Liverpool postcode area. This is a very old award, named after Harvey Lonsdale Elmes, the designer of the very significant St Georges Hall building in Liverpool. This is an award of £1000 per annum, and judged on the basis of the portfolio submitted for entrance to the degree of BA in architecture at the school.
For students entering the final year of the BA or MArch degrees, the Alexander Anderson bursary of £5000 is for up to four students who are facing significant financial difficulties which could prevent them completing their final year of study.
David Inman Fund
The David Inman fund support existing students who are undertaking research into environmental science/scalability issues as part of a dissertation or thesis. This is normally awarded to a Masters student or Ph.D. student.
The RIBA offers a number of bursaries avalable to help support students experiencing financial hardship who otherwise may not continue with their architectural studies.
