Personal Statement
I have always had a creative mind and like to think outside the box when it comes to innovation and problem solving. I studied 3Dimensional Design in Manchester Metropolitan University where I worked with a range of materials and processes and specialised in sustainable and Eco materials for my final year.
In 2017 I began my career as a workshop technician for the School of Architecture which is a part of the School of the Arts at the University of Liverpool.
I currently work across a number of different workshops including mixed material workshop (Wood, metal, plastics & plaster), laser cutting and 3D Printing workshops. This involves technical support and maintenance of many different types of equipment in the workshops. My role is very student facing and I often run induction sessions, demonstrate, teach, guide and try to inspire these students with ideas and techniques, which helps to shape their own future career prospects. I enjoy helping students and seeing their satisfaction and appreciation at End of Year shows.
