A terraced street in Bootle is decorated to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Shots of hand-made decorations including a giant red, white and blue crown and bunting aligning all the houses across the street. The residents gather for a group photograph, a girl dances in the street to an audience and residents and children are interviewed by a man with a microphone. Brief footage of children racing each other along the street.
