The Architectural and Urban History Group attracts high-quality PhD candidates from a wide variety of countries, academic backgrounds and professions, to pursue research on a great diversity of themes.  Below is a selection of some of our recently-completed PhDs, and on our Staff page you can see the range of research topics covered by our potential supervisors.  Should you be unsure whether or not your research would fit in here, why not get in touch with a member of staff whose work interests you, to discuss it?  Research degrees can be pursued full-time or part-time, to fit your career plan, and you can be based where best suits your research.  Our recent PhD graduates are working in fields including further or higher education, architectural practice, historic preservation, and conservation consultancy.
