Winsford

Winsford Regeneration Through Weaver Navigation aims to create a masterplan and architectural regeneration scheme for the historical salt mining town of Winsford.

Our project carefully analyses the social and physical attributes of the existing town to create an innovative scheme which benefits the local residents, the town’s employment levels, local businesses and environment whilst creating an unique tourist destination.

Winsford is a town of unique diversification, a town where the natural beauty of the river Weaver meanders through the hard townscape created by the Salt Mine. Previously a town torn apart by rapid growth and poor infrastructure, our vision for Winsford, through the introduction of boating and industrial tourism, is a dynamic unique place to live, which successfully celebrates the natural and man-made beauty from which it was originally developed.
