    Research Interests and Current Projects

My research focuses on Greek poetry from the Archaic to the Early Byzantine period. I am a papyrologist, that is, I decipher and translate Greek literature on papyri, collaborating with several papyrus collections in the UK and worldwide. My main research project is a four-volume corpus of anonymous hexameter poems on papyri. I am particularly interested in Hellenistic and Imperial Greek poetry. I am currently working on a new edition of the fragments and epigrams of the poet-philologist Simias of Rhodes (IV-III century BC). My next project will be an edition with translation and commentary of Naumachius' Manual for Marriage (II century AD).
