    Personal Statement

    Jo is an RCVS and EBVS recognised Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology. Most of her time is spent in the Small Animal Teaching Hospital in the Cardiology service, doing clinical work. She is programme director and supervises the three cardiology residents following the ECVIM-CA Cardiology residency training programme towards their own individual specialist status. She enjoys teaching and inspiring the next generation of veterinary surgeons and veterinary cardiologists. She holds Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Jo is subject lead for the clinical "management of disease" course for small animal clinical sciences, in 3rd and 4th year.
    Jo's research is mainly clinical research these days, reflecting her time in the clinics. Her research interests include feline and canine cardiomyopathies, echocardiography and genetics of cardiac diseases.
