Ski and snowboard

No matter your ability, from absolute Jerry to full-time sender, LivSnow is the place for you to learn, improve or show off your skills on the slopes.

With weekly training sessions, freestyle and racing comps, regular socials and a student run trip in April, the LivSnow society is the one to join.

Competitive/Training

For those interested in learning to ski for the first time, we arrange beginner lessons all through the year in time for the Easter trip. Get in touch to find out more.

We have training sessions every week in term time, most frequently to Stoke Dry Slope for social evenings of racing, freestyle and general skiing/boarding for just £16. We welcome all skiers and snowboarders - the only requirement is that you have to know how to use a button lift. We include transport, equipment and two hours of slope use (with as much use of the slalom course and freestyle features as you like).

We encourage as many people to participate in a variety of different competitions we attend in a year. The competitions are a lot of fun and a great way to meet other people with a passion for our sport. Competitions include BUCS, Kings, AJAM and the Dome series.

Social events

We believe that the social aspect of a sports club is the most important aspect! We join in with the iconic AU nights but our social secretaries also organise a huge variety of different events with different themes every week, including Crate Escape, Kitchen St crossover events, our Christmas party and the Snowball.

The Athletic Union

The Athletic Union (AU) is a student lead union founded in 1884. The AU consists of competitive sports clubs representing the University in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS). The AU also provides opportunities for social sports with over 132 teams across three sports.

Being an AU member is a great way to stay active, develop management and leadership skills and meet people.

Other benefits include:

Representation within the Sport Liverpool department through the elected student AU executive committee
Elite personal accident insurance cover
Access to physiotherapy treatment at our Sports injuries clinic
Priority access to AU social events
Financial support at representative level
Subsidised support to coaching an officials courses
Eligibility for colours and blues award.

The initial cost of the AU membership is £72 and this will allow you to join one club. If you wish to join multiple clubs, the cost for each club is £30 thereafter.
