1st Year Undergraduate Students are housed on a 39-week contract, the contract dates are 15/09/2018 – 15/06/2019. You can view the 1st Year 2018/19 Accommodation Fees for full information on what halls are available, the cost and what facilities each room type offers.

Accepting Your Tenancy Agreement

To secure your accommodation you must sign the tenancy agreement online. You do this online by accepting your room offer and agreeing to the terms and conditions via your Liverpool Life Portal. This is a legally-binding contract therefore it is important that all student familiarise themselves with the components of the contract.

This legally-binding contract specifies details such as:-

  • How much you must pay and what is included in the price
  • When your tenancy begins and ends
  • Specific conditions of your tenancy
  • Terms of your occupancy
  • What to do if you have a complaint

Please remember that by signing your contract you agree to occupy the room for your full contract length, as detailed in your agreement.

If someone else is paying for your accommodation we strongly recommend you let them read the agreement. But please note that we can only discuss specific details regarding accommodation with the student named on the contract.

Students are given 7 working days from accepting the room offer where this can be cancelled and the booking fee can be refunded. Once these 7 working days have passed, the student is legally bound to the accommodation agreement for the room.

Only once a student has accepted their room offer are they required to pay the £150 booking fee. When the student arrives and checks-in to their hall, this booking fee becomes the damage deposit which is fully refundable at the end of the contract providing that there no damages/cleaning charges against the room.

Room Allocation Order

We prioritise the allocation of rooms to students in the following order - taking into consideration the date of your application:

  1. Students who accept an unconditional "Firm" offer and are not result dependent (UF)
  2. Students who put us as their “Firm” (1st) choice who will receive their examination results in August (CF)
  3. Students who have University of Liverpool as their “Insurance” (2nd) choice (CI)
  4. Students who come to the University through “Clearing” (CL)
