If you are staying for Semester 1 only, you can apply for one of the rooms available in the Study Abroad Village (Tudor Close & Melville Grove). You should apply as early as possible to secure your place.

If you are staying for Semester 2 only, you are guaranteed a place in University accommodation. Where possible, you will be placed in the Study Abroad Village. If you wish to take up your place, apply via Liverpool Life.

Welcome home...

The Study Abroad Village is a fantastic way to start or continue your Study Abroad journey.

Outbound Study Abroad students can rent a room in the Study Abroad Village (newly refurbished Tudor Close & Melville Grove) for the semester you are not spending overseas.

In order to apply, simply log on to Liverpool Life to make your application.

In the Study Abroad Village, you'll be living with other students who are only studying for one semester alongside our inbound exchange students from all over the world. It is a truly global themed halls of residence experience.

There are approximately 300 rooms available (but please note that, where necessary, preference is given to our inbound students from our partner universities in the first instance).

Choose your semester

Whether you are an outbound University of Liverpool student, or you are an inbound student, you can apply for accommodation in the Study Abroad Village

You will need your University of Liverpool PIN to login to Liverpool Life; for new students, this is sent to you centrally from the University via email

When creating your application, you will need to need to select the student type which applies to you:

Study Abroad Semester 1 contracts start in September, the weekend before welcome week and run until the end of the exam period at the end of semester 1. Upon the date of departure, you will need to hand your keys back by 11am as there will be new students moving into your room on the same day as your departure

Study Abroad Semester 2 contracts start the weekend before semester 2 and run until mid June. For semester 2 students, we find there is often a wider choice of rooms availablabe across the other undergraduate halls. This is reflected in the options available for application. Please be aware that this does depend on availability, we cannot guarantee to allocate a room you have selected as one of your preferences

If you are coming to study at the University of Liverpool for a full academic year, you will apply as a 1st Year Undergraduate. This means you can choose any of the undergraduate halls and will be housed amongst University of Liverpool students

After receiving an Accommodation offer you must accept or decline within 7 days
