Living Labs
A Living Lab approach brings together students, staff, and external partners to test ideas, share knowledge, and develop solutions to address real-life sustainability challenges and advance environmental and social sustainability goals.
Our Living Labs programme supports commitments outlined in the University’s Sustainability Strategy and Climate Plan, which pledge to use a Living Lab approach to connect research, education and operations for sustainable development. These commitments are reinforced through the Joint Declaration on Embracing a Living Lab Approach to Promote Carbon Neutrality, which was developed by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and to which the University of Liverpool is a signatory.
