IntoUniversity North Liverpool

We understand the power of education. We help talented young people from all backgrounds to achieve. For many years, we have worked with local schools to raise aspiration.

We have collaborated with leading education charity IntoUniversity and Liverpool Football Club Foundation to deliver IntoUniversity North Liverpool. Together, we will help young people in Anfield to do better at school and believe in their ability to get to university.

We will do more for disadvantaged young people in one of our most deprived local communities.

Thanks to our donor and supporter community, we have now successfully reached the fundraising target of £300,000 for this project.

More than 1,000 young people a year will find a quiet and safe place to study at IntoUniversity North Liverpool. They will meet inspirational mentors and get one-to-one academic support. Most importantly, their self-belief will be strengthened.

Only 23% of state school students on free school meals get to university. Of all state school leavers only 57% get to university. In sharp contrast, we expect 80% of IntoUniversity North Liverpool school leavers to achieve a university place. We also expect 77% to improve their grades and 71% to feel more confident about achieving their career goals.

Lady's Story

Lady Tettey is a former student at IntoUniversity’s first learning centre in North Kensington in London. As a result of the support she received at the centre she was awarded a scholarship to attend Rugby Boarding School for sixth form before starting her degree in English Literature and Business Management at the University of Liverpool. Now in her third and final year, Lady volunteers as a mentor at the new IntoUniversity North Liverpool centre in Anfield.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this project, we couldn't have done it without you.
